Rainbow Snippets February 23rd, 2020

Happy sunny Sunday again! A fine weekend this time; not hot or cold, a bit chilly….but juuust right for being indoors or out.

My hobbies are getting caught up slow but sure…even a smidgen of writing getting done too 🙂

What is Rainbow Snippets? It’s a group of LGBT+ authors who post six sentences (or more) from a current WIP, published work or even something they’ve read that they want to rave about. Click on the link below the rainbow to be transported to a place of wonder where you will find tasters of everything from sweet romance, to hot and steamy, to fantasy and sci-fi.

This week I’m sticking with one of my older works again which was formerly “Refugees” but was re-named “This Time Around”.

Blurb:

Can two lonely souls finally get a second chance on getting it right?

Robert can’t believe this has happened again. His heart is in tatters, all because of his once-again ex. Out of pure frustration, he takes matters into his own hands and gives boxing a try. All he gains is an injured hand, which needs the attention of a physical therapist.

David is overwhelmed and his heart is in denial over the sudden departure of the man he was in love with. As he tries to piece his life back together, a patient needing therapy walks into his clinic and the attraction is immediate; but the desire is not.

Can these two finally find a good relationship that will last and work this time around?

“Oh no ya don’t. We’re talking about you.” David reminded him.

Shit. Yes they were.

“It…just ended really badly. He cheated on me, I found someone else, and cheated on him with my first boyfriend.” Wow that sounded much worse when he said it out loud. “I’m such an idiot.”

“Hey, no you’re not. You must’ve really been worked over by this guy to be this down. I don’t know you that well yet and even I can tell.”

Robert sighed. “I just…I had to get that off my chest.” He looked David up and down. “I…thanks. Again. I guess you’re kinda like a shrink too, huh?” he laughed.

“A little bit. We all have issues, believe me. I’m just getting back on track myself. If you need an ear, I’m always here to listen, Robert.”

Relieved, Robert grinned and they finished up the appointment. “See you in two days?”

“Yep. See you then.”

Robert has had quite the jagged history with dear Phillip, hasn’t he? Oh my….can two days pass fast enough?

A lover of words and writing since they entered my life as a young child. Now a devout lover of men (especially late teen, college and mature men) to write their stories.
